Amazing Experience! They're called WellRive now - the services offered were so much broader than any of the local companies were and the quality was unbelievable. I asked for verification that all employees who would be assisting with my move were fully background checked and verified - not only did they guarantee this they actually provided the (redacted) clean background checks for everyone who came in contact with our goods. A couple others that I called were vague about their process and certainly didn't back it up like Gentle Transitions/WellRive. 100% recommend for seniors concerned about security and quality.

My mom made the decision to move into an assisted living facility and they were able to get her in within two weeks. Thankfully, we were able to secure Gentle Transitions for the move because I’m convinced it couldn’t have happened without them! Gloria and Toni came within days to identify the items for the move. They had already visited the senior center and had the floor plan so they knew what would fit and as they walked through the house. They measured items my mom wanted to take and made insightful suggestions as to which additional pieces would be useful in the new floor plan. They even grabbed items from different rooms that complemented her choices to take her new arrangement to the next level. In 2 hours, they had scoured the 3000+ square-foot home and had the new floor plan identified. They showed up the next week at 8 AM and by 3 PM, we had my mom completely unpacked, to include pictures on the wall. The attention to detail they showed was remarkable: which mattress went on which bed, if the beds were made to her liking, if her recliner was in the right spot, if a table lamp looked better on that table or another, etc. They felt like family and their professionalism completely put my mom’s mind at ease during an extremely emotional and stressful transition. The company name is spot on. This is far more than a packing or moving company. They are phase of life transition angels. God bless the Gentle Transitions team!!!

I had the incredible fortune to be referred to Jennifer at Gentle Transitions for the move of my mother from her long-lived in 2BR/2BA house in a retirement community in Palm Desert, CA into a 1BR/1BA small apartment in an assisted living facility several miles away. All of the upfront planning and preparation done remotely by me from Washington, DC.

Jennifer served as the team lead and project manager. She oversaw all aspects, kept me fully engaged and informed, and was uber customer service savvy. The other members of the team reflected this standard as well, which tells me that this is the organizational standard and culture for Gentle Transitions. Jennifer is expert, warm and caring, creative, highly organized, sincere, witty as needed, and stunningly on top of all macro and micro details. We planned everything in advance, including the diagramming of my mother’s eventual apartment with the mapping of her furniture, curios and incidentals from one to the next. Her plans were clear, lucid and absolutely spot-on. She coordinated the movers, managed the on-site work and provided a creative and expert energy that – in effect – reformed my mother’s 2BR/2BA house as a 1BR/1BA apartment, thereby fully enabling my mother to move-in stress-free with all aspects of home, comfort and familiarity welcoming her upon arrival. All was as planned and expected. Everything was put away. And I mean “all.” Not only was furniture installed, but all was put on shelves, in drawers, on racks, in cabinets and on walls. It so fully-captured my mother’s space and feel with the added benefit of Jennifer’s design vision and awareness. Jennifer, the team, and Gentle Transitions … thank you so much!

I have had the pleasure of working with Gentle Transitions on MANY occasions! I am currently the Direct of Sales and Marketing at a senior living community located in Laguna Hills, CA. With that said, I have the opportunity to recommend senior relocation services to MANY of my new residents moving in. Her honestly and ability to get things done and in a timely manor to me when needed is EXACTLY the kind of working relationship I would ask for. she is so well connected in the industry and is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who asks. I also have to give a huge shout out to Greg Gunderson who is the companies owner and president... He has been to my community on multiple occasions to host luncheons where we can invite outside residents who are simply looking for some more information on relocation and the services available to them. When the owner himself is willing to make the trip out and host a presentation to a group anywhere from 2 attendees to 25 you know his heart is with his company.
