My Experience with Rosario Ortigao was horrible, after going to her after a couple of sessions I ended up worst. Went in to treat anxiety, ended up not only with anxiety but panic attacks. Horrible experience. You can see from the beginning she only cares about money and she is rude and so unprofessional. One of the many issues I thought triggered my anxiety at the moment was my husband's immigration process. She even dared to ask me if I was faking my anxiety and a panic attack that led me to be hospitalized to help with my husband's situation. Really? I thought she was there to help me out and not judge me and help me cope with my anxieties instead just did the opposite. I believe a part of it was my fault because since day 1 I noticed something was not right and did not felt comfortable with her and Instead of just not coming back I tried to do a couple more sessions thinking it was me not giving her a chance. I regret that till this day.

Rosario is kind and listens well. Unlike other therapists I’ve experienced, she also gives advice on how to handle situations. I saw her for two years and she really did help heal me. She is an amazing therapist.

Dr. Ortigao was the MOST unprofessional therapist I have ever encountered. I work with therapist for my profession but never gone to one for personal reasons until now. From the moment my father and I entered her office she was rude, short, and never kept eye contact making us feel very unwelcomed. Instead of greeting us her first question was about payment, insurance and how are we going to pay for the co-pay. I explained to her that I did not understand the forms and that's why I came in a little early and asked her for help. Her response was " what is there not to understand?". She informed me that I was suppose to get all the information from my insurance before hand. ( Even thou, we spoke on the phone days before the appointment and I did everything she asked me to do). She then stepped into another room and spend 20 + minutes on the phone with my provider. I gave her my credit card information and she informed me that its for security reasons if the insurance wont cover it. within 30 minutes of waiting for her to "confirm" my insurance I asked her if this is taking time from my therapy and she informed "yes". She proceeded to point her finger at me and tell me this was all my fault because I did not fill out the paper work properly. Later my insurance confirmed my coverage and then she hung up and began to type our license information very slowly in her computer and ask us questions such as our address and co-payment methods. At this point there was only 15 minutes left in the session and My father and I were already upset. I informed her that there is not point for the appointment and asked her to return my documents. She was very rude and kept repeating " this is your fault"
I do not recommend this person to anyone!!! I walked out of her office feeling worse instead of receiving assistance from a professional. PLEASE do your research on mental health professionals so you don't have the HORRIFIC experience I had with this Doctor.
