I consistently choose Baptist Health over any other hospital. The entire process is managed through MyChart, which makes everything incredibly convenient. For the most part, the staff are kind, compassionate, and professional. The hospital itself is beautiful and well-maintained, equipped with virtually everything you could need (except for dental care). I truly believe it is the best hospital in Lexington, and I wholeheartedly trust them with my healthcare needs.

My delivery experience was amazing, had wonderful Drs and over the top amazing nurses!
My postpartum experience however was terrible, I had trouble getting some nurses to listen to what I wanted for my child, some of the lactation techs were very pushy and wouldn't listen to how I wanted to do it, and a random Dr (Dr Forrester) who came to do my son's circumcision was down right self entitled and rude as could be, I ended up refusing to let him touch my child and pretty much checked out as soon as I could. I will not be back to this hospital, you couldn't pay me enough.

A couple months ago my husband went for a scan his doctor recommended at Baptist Health in Frankfort. He got his results back and was told it was clear. Two wks later his doctor called him 10 times in a row to go to emergency, a life or death situation. He isn't just able to stop work. When he got off work we went to emergency in Lex. Baptist Health. They took us in, explained the issue and said they would set us up with more testing, which his local doctor could have done! The nurse/ doctor who discharged him said "Did your doctor make you feel like this is a life and death situation?" We said that she had. She laughed and said that "they" tend to be overly dramatic about these situations. She said he could go back to work the next day. He did so. A wk or so later here comes a bill for over $800 !! At the emergency they didn't so much as give him Tylenol. They did nothing. They didn't tell him to stay off work. So if it was truly life and death, why didn't they keep him in the hospital?!! I have talked to insurance, I have called Baptist Health and they insist we owe the $800. This is robbing the patient just because they have insurance. I don't know what my next step is but I no longer trust Baptist Health and I will fight this as far as I can go. They certainly don't put the patients first from what we have seen. Very disappointing!!

I brought my dad here for shortness of breath and chest pains. After having blood work and an EKG, we waited in a room. Two hours later another blood test which showed his enzymes were increasing. He was going to be admitted but we waited for over two hours waiting for a room. No one asked my dad if he wanted a drink of water or something to eat until I asked. The room we waited in was dirty. As I write this we are still waiting for his overnight room which is now over two hours. I would never come here or recommend this hospital. My dad’s cardiologist works here and that is why we are here. Last time I hope. The attitude of the staff is indifferent at best. Do yourself a favor and go to a different hospital. Any hospital has to be better than this place. I would give it a negative 5 stars if I could.

My father-in-law was there for two weeks and the nurses barely visited him. It was one week before they changed his bedsheets. He was supposed to have PT twice a day during his stay, and they did it the first day and never returned. Nurses were too busy on their phones to clean his room or take him for walks. One of the Hospitalists wanted to discharge him, even though he had a scheduled procedure in two days. He ended up with bed soars on his back. The only time they would do anything for him is if we were there. Very disappointing experience.

I had two babies at this hospital and had great care. Apparently that type care and empathy is for maternity only. I had an horrible experience in outpatient surgery. I guess sending someone home in uncontrolled pain and throwing up is acceptable. I was not asked once what my pain level was once. They were over booked and need a bed and needed me gone. Calling an on call doctor doesn't help either they can't change your meds without you having to back to ED. Thanks to all the drug addicts patients having organs removed can't get pain management. I guess I will not be a returning customer to Baptist.
