Very pleased with Adam Wojteczko as my two 2e sons' therapist. He really cares, listens and "gets" them. Highly recommend. We have had many different therapists over the past 8 years and he has accomplished more in a few short months than in 5+ years. We will stay with him as long as we are able.

This review is specific for counselor Kristi Brown at Evans Counseling Group.

For context, my wife and I went to Kristi for marriage counseling. From the outset, it seemed that Kristi’s aim was to undermine me and my relationship in every possible way. She interrupted me multiple times, accused me of lying on several occasions, and injected what I perceived to be her personal opinions into our discussion. At no point did she acknowledge or validate my feelings or perspectives (basic client needs). Instead, her approach made me feel unsafe, confused, extremely frustrated, and reluctant to share anything further with her.

While I am not asserting that everything she said was wrong or incorrect, the manner in which she conducted our session was unacceptable. Her lack of empathy, care, and professional conduct during our session was profoundly disappointing and detrimental to our progress.

I had the privilege of working with Adam Wojteczko an exceptionally knowledgeable, relatable, and open therapist. It’s inspiring to see a young man dedicated to mental health in a culture where it’s still difficult for men to talk about their emotions. Adam provided actionable cognitive behavioral therapy techniques that were instrumental in addressing my mental health trauma. His approach made me feel less isolated and helped normalize my fears.

I consistently felt inspired after our sessions. Adam would set goals for me to work on between appointments, and we would review my progress, which I found very effective.

Adam also recommended valuable resources for me to explore independently, enhancing my understanding and strategies for managing my challenges. His willingness to share personal experiences was comforting and helped me process my own challenges, providing immediate relief and reducing feelings of isolation. Our sessions were well-balanced, addressing difficult topics while also fostering moments of joy and laughter.

I highly recommend Adam as a therapist. His expertise, empathy, and dedication to his clients make him an outstanding choice for anyone seeking supportive and effective therapy.

I highly recommend ECG for your mental health needs. I've been utilizing their services for the past 2+ years and the experience has been near-ideal. My therapist, Adam Wojteczko, has been phenomenal not just in helping me address my mental health, but also with maintaining a continuum of care, as I am a veteran and sometimes the VA is slow with the necessary paperwork. Yet every time Adam and the rest of the staff at ECG are professional and relentless at ensuring that there is no significant lapse in my care. Overall, these people excel at addressing your needs and making you feel valued.

I am very happy with the availability of appointments for my daughter, and the handling of all insurance billing.

My spouse and I had our first and last appointment today with Kristi Brown. We specifically chose her because her bio mentioned experience with PTSD and the Gottman Method, which we had been encouraged to try. Within seconds of our teletherapy session beginning, we both had a bad feeling. She didn’t take time to introduce herself or her process. When we asked, she gave us a cocky answer about having 27 years of experience. Since she wasn’t willing to take that moment right off the top to help us understand her methodology and manage our expectations, the session was chaotic and ineffective. There was quite a lot of intake paperwork, which we took time and care filling out, but it was evident she didn’t even look at it prior to our session. She was rude, short, and annoyed with us. We are a couple in crisis, so we’re not quite sure yet about our “intentions” for therapy. That’s why we came to her; we needed an experienced and empathetic professional to help us through figuring out some of these things. She was not willing to provide that and she abruptly ended our video call at the end of the session. We wasted our time and our money today.

While I have not used the therapy services of Evans Counseling, I had the pleasure of getting to know Marsha Evans when she served as Chairperson on our Board of Directors for a number of years. She mediated conflicts on the board with fairness and even-handedness.

She took the time to consider all points of view and offered practical suggestions to help in our decision making.

She is compassionate, respectful and results-oriented. Based on my experience with her in this capacity, I would highly recommend her and her staff.

Evans Counseling has changed my life. I am so appreciative of them and my therapist Joanna. Their offices are organized, polished and I've never had any issues with billing which tends to be common with medical providers. Not here, everything has been super smooth and my therapy has really impacted my life in a positive way. THANK YOU
