These past few years have been incredibly challenging for my family. My daughter now in 11th grade, who has severe social anxiety, learning disabilities and others, has not made any progress since eighth grade. Unable to attend the traditional public school, she was enrolled in an online public school. While this allowed her to attend classes, it was not ideal for her learning, and she continued to struggle.

We decided to seek help from Dr. Philip Dunbar-Mayer at the Center for Child Development. Dr. Phil conducted a comprehensive evaluation of my daughter, meticulously reviewing her background, IEP, and testing. His analysis and recommendations were exceptionally thorough and insightful. He demonstrated a profound understanding of my daughter's challenges and provided actionable recommendations.

Thanks to Dr. Phil's detailed evaluation and report, we were able to present his findings to the Bellevue School District. As a result, my daughter was placed into the RISE program, which has been exactly what she needed. She is now able to attend school and work towards her high school diploma. Additionally, she has resumed taking her medication, which she had stopped a year ago.

I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Phil for his expertise and support. For anyone with a child who needs a thorough evaluation and effective help, I highly recommend Dr. Philip Dunbar-Mayer.

Dr Dunbar has been an advocate for treatment for my child working with the schools to provide the best possible outcomes. Dr Wills has also done a great job.

Dr. Dunbar-Mayer and his staff are the most knowledgeable, professional, encouraging, and kindest people I know when it comes to neurodivergent kids. My son has been tested 4 times since first grade and with the various interventions and recommendations, my son has soared to heights we never thought possible. He learned to control his big feelings, overcome social awkwardness, show his work vs. keep it all in his head. He grew in confidence to audition for the high school band and participated in the marching band, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, and percussion ensemble from 7th to 11th grade. My son is graduating a year early and headed to UC Berkeley in the fall. I can't thank this office enough for their guidance and support through it all.

Can I give negative number of stars! There is huge communication problem in a place where you want to get mental health advice! Very ironic. They don’t tell you how much you need to pay upfront and charge you on your credit card. Complete extortion.
I wish I read the other reviews before going.

Beware indeed. What a mess my coparent got me into with this place.

Dr. Ferdico presents super well yet her office executes rogue invoicing with zero heads up or explanation. Upon seeking clarity from her office coordinator, I was met with uninformed and defensive responses. They took advantage of my process to seek information on evals and billed my insurance over $600. The other negative reviews are accurate, this place is borderline fraudulent.

As a divorced parent, this only complicated my coparenting relationship. I knew this place was too good to be true. They had appointment availability within 45 days of inquiry. Upon asking why other providers are booked 12+ months out, she said there was a chance of a cancellation. Now I know why anyone would cancel. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

From a medical standpoint, treatment is good and professional. But, that is where your good experience will end.
Their billing is atrocious and from an accounting standpoint is fraudulent. Furthermore, they absolutely will not communicate with you to rectify anything. Hands down the worst experience I've had with a medical provider in over 20 years of working.

Avoid this place!! Fraud. Beware.

My son had two days of testing. Then the provider made up five days of fraudulent testing days the following month $4,300 bill.

He then billed my husband for $450. Today demanded $212 from me and now just charged my credit card $200.
