Wow! I was brought here by a friend and completely blown away by how incredible this restaurant is. The staff was super friendly and attentive, kept our glasses full, and was always nearby if we needed something.

All of the food we had was incredible! I don't think you could order something bad on this menu. The cedar strip steak was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I highly recommend it. Also the Ibis grilled bread.

The food was pretty good. Cooked properly and we'll presented. The staff didn't care about us much. The wait staff all seems disengaged. Our server bailed on us halfway through dinner, didn't tell us, and some other dude showed up. He said our waitress had been given "side duties" but she was still waiting other tables. Also, my wife asked for a four ounce pour of wine but it was more like 2.

The atmosphere is decent and the food was good. Not good enough to inspire a return based on the lackluster service.

From the moment we walked into Restaurant at 1900, we felt welcomed. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between elegance and comfort. However, what stole the show was the cod main plate. My husband proclaimed it was the best cod he's had in 20 years—high praise indeed! The texture was flaky, and the flavors were impeccably balanced.

If I had to pick just one restaurant in KC, this would be the place. It's a remarkably even balance of elements: expertly-prepared food, clever cocktails, comfortable surroundings and excellent hospitality.

The menu changes regularly, so I don't have any specific dishes to recommend. For the appetizer course I've had soups, salads and other options without ever making a bad choice. Likewise the pastas, entrees and desserts have been uniformly delicious.

Just three days before I wrote this review, 1900 was named as a semifinalist for a Beard Award for hospitality. They deserve the prize. Servers are polite and efficient, and they know their regular customers by name.

Impressive hospitality and atmosphere! My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. The pasta was our favorite. Platings were great on each entree. Asparagus soup, chicken and pork entree were ordinary, didn’t complain but didn’t love them either.

I moved to the KC area at the end of May and just happened upon this restaurant when I needed a lunch spot for a business meeting. What a blessing that was to find 1900! The service, the food, the restaurant itself is remarkable to say the least.

I didn't think that experience could be topped, but I was wrong. I returned yesterday for lunch and was amazed that the host remembered me. Then the staff greeted me with a "welcome back" or "glad to see you again." Now I realize that they are a team and working together to make the guests feel at home and that one team member is supporting another team member by sharing these little bits of info. I am impressed. The team here is doing a spectacular job in the area of hospitality. It's no wonder that they were a semifinalist for the 2023 James Beard Award in this category.

As if it couldn't get better from there, the food is amazing. I had the grilled cheese; superb! I tried my friends fries that came with his fish sandwich; fantastic. I watched my other associate devour the ravioli; I was jealous.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant.

After several visits here, this has moved into a top position on our list. The rooms and outdoor dining areas are comfortable, modern without being sterile or self-consciously trendy; the menu is very innovative; meticulously prepared and presented, utilizing fine local suppliers and some produce grown on the premises. Service is professional, personable; familiar but not obsequious or intrusive. Highly recommended.
